Stuttgart is situated in a valley in the federal state of Baden Württemberg, one of the richest federal states in Germany. Surrounded by vineyards and sunny hills, Stuttgart is a vibrant, modern city that has retained some of its wonderful heritage – the royal palaces buildings and parks are located right at the heart of the city, together with the much loved Wilhelma Zoo, one of Europe’s largest zoos and botanical gardens. The city itself, with its wide streets, high rise buildings in the financial district and pedestrianized shopping zones like the chic Königsstraße is a great place to come for a long weekend.
